Fempowerment workshops aim to create discussion that prioritizes intersectionality, empowers participants to take action, and values individual experience.
Affirmations Workshop
Participants in this workshop discussed the importance of/practice of self-care and affirmations; then we designed our own deck of affirmations cards.

Ecofeminism
This workshop introduces participants to the basic tenets of ecofeminism, creating discussion about how to activate ecofeminist principles in our daily lives.

Self-Expression
This workshop engages particpants in the importance of self-expression as a practice of freedom.

Intersectional Gun Reform
This workshop discusses the implications of intersectional gun reform, including but not limited to: how gun control may be used as a tool in the criminalization of people of color, the presence of armed police officers within schools, the criminalization of mental illness, state violence against communities of color. Participants also gain valuable skill and vocabulary for discussing gun control, and are able to practice these skills in engagement with elected representatives.

Reclaimed Space
Reclaimed Space discusses reclaiming language and gender expression, Afrofuturism as a means of reclaiming science fiction, and reclaiming the self through radical self love.

Women's History Month
This workshop discusses the context and theory behind WHM. Are we looking at events that are “historic” and include women? Or are we paying attention to events that affect the overall experiences of women? Are we celebrating the idea of history’s interaction with presented femininity and are we accounting for the absence of femininity with groups that identify with women?

Self-Confidence
This workshop presents an introductory discussion on the basics of self-confidence as it connects to self-love, its importance, and equips participants with some simple ways to practice these concepts.

Siri, Social Justice, and Solidarity
This workshop discusses the inersections between technology and activism and self-love; as well as the limitations of technology, and internet echo-chambers; and an introduction to afro-futurism. The workshop culminates in the audience creation of a visual timeline representing the future of the intersections between technology and social justice.

2018 Prison Strike
This workshop discusses the demands of incarcerated prisoners in the 2018 prison strike, as well as our current landscape of incarceration and alternatives to prisons.

Back to School Self-Care
In this workshop, we make our own self-care zines and discuss what self-care means to us and how we can place it within the context of school and education. We also share practical and actionable self-care resources!
